We all live our realities in different ways, depending on our beliefs and principles – this is the reason we have such different opinions on things.
In these friday posts, “whose side are you on?” I will talk about hot topics upon which we all have an opinion. My mission is to make you think about it and see it from different angles… and if you want to tell me your truth, just right in the comments below!!
This week we will talk about different attitudes towards many aspects of life: are you an early bird or a last minute person?
If we talk about holidays, the topic becomes crystal clear: some people buy months before the holidays, sometimes even one year ahead. But the same goes for other situations: buying online, go on a date, study for an exam…
The “early-birders” allege that booking holidays in advance means high discount rates, and the same goes for buying online.
In general, though, this is a mental attitude: certainty and organization are the main principles that move these kind of people.
Then there are the “last-minuters”, those that buy tickets the day before leaving; those that, if there’s a long queue at the cinema, decide to do something else; etc.
When we talk about vacation, strange but true, the motivation is again the discount, but in generale here too we can talk about a mental attitude: they give priority to different values than certainty – or sometimes it is just laziness.
And you? Whose side are you on?
