It is almost the end of 2018 and I know that one of the main topic during new year’s eve is “what’s your new year’s resolution for 2019?”

We have all been through this: we say something like losing weight or quit smoking and then we recall that we were saying exactly the same things 365 days ago…

Why is it so difficult to stick to these resolutions? Because – as the word says – they are not plans, they are resolutions, that more or less means “wishes”.
Some of them are not essential for our health and happiness but some are, and this is the reason why I tell you what I decided to do some years ago:

1) I don’t express new year’s resolutions unless I decide they have to come true, come what may.
2) If I express a new year’s resolution I also make a plan about how to make it come true, in how much time, etc. and I follow the plan step by step. This is the only way to make our resolutions/wishes come true.
