We have now come to the last tool, the one who will allow you to finish the work on your foundations and to build a solid happiness upon. As I told you in my last post, it’s not an easy-to-use tool, but you know: the last mile is always the toughest but it is also the one who brings you to your end result.
The seventh and last tool is: GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.
What is the comfort zone? It is a space in our life where we feel “good”, and quotation marks are no accident. Metaphorically speaking, it is an uncomfortable bed with wonderful linen, or an old but resprayed car: the bed is beautiful to see but it will cause you backache; the car works and is nice to see, but sooner or later it will let you out in the cold.
The comfort zone in our life is the adaptation to or the acceptance of the present situation even if it’s not what we want, it is a way of settling for what comes along.
Do you want more everyday life examples? The job I have doesn’t satisfy me but I need the money, I’m not happy in my current love relationship but it’s not that bad, my friends are not really supportive but it’s difficult to know new people. Etc, etc, etc.
I want to be clear on one point: I’m not judging people who chose to live in the comfort zone, who know consciously that they are there but for many reasons cannot get out of it. If you are not ready to change, you shouldn’t be forced, instead you should be trusted that one day you will be ready for that. To everyone who choses to live in the comfort zone, I say “ok, don’t push yourself where you’re not ready to go otherwise your results will be poor; when you will be ready, all will come naturally and easily”.
But there are also people who cannot stand their life as it is anymore, and even if they are uncertain, they want to try and make a change.
I created a chart for all of you – you can download it here – it can help taking the first steps towards change.
Now that we have come to the end of this path, I would like to hear your opinion on it: I’d like you to write me how is it going, if you already began to use some tools and see results, and of course if you have comment or need more information, do not hesitate to ask! I will be happy to help! Tell me if you liked this post and share it if you think it could be helpful to someone you know and love.
My goal during this journey was to make you understand you can be happy and fulfilled, and I did it by helping you creating strong foundation upon which to build your best self. I hope I succeeded and I hope you can take advantage of the tools I gave you. I thank you for being with me in this journey and for trusting me. And please don’t forget to always shine like the sun!
